Mansfield-based indie rock outfit The Publics are showing no signs of slowing down. Fresh off a triumphant main stage performance at Splendour Festival, the band returns with their latest single, ‘Grow Old’, the final track to be released ahead of their upcoming EP, The Tide, set for release on October 24, 2025.
Built for big crowds, ‘Grow Old’ combines the band’s signature high-energy indie sound with vibrant samba rhythms and chant-worthy gang vocals. It's a track that radiates nostalgia and stadium-sized ambition.
The band explains, “We recently went back and played some of the classic FIFA games we loved as kids, and the soundtracks brought a wave of nostalgia. With Grow Old, we wanted to capture that same energy, ensuring we add all the musical elements that that defined those iconic game soundscapes.”
Made up of Josh Porter (Vocals/Guitar), Elliot Stephenson (Lead Guitar), Tom Scott (Bass), Taylor Gadsby(Keys/Guitar) and Josh Boam (Drums), The Publics are set for a huge end to 2025. The band head out on their biggest tour to date this November, culminating in a sold-out headline show in their hometown of Mansfield.
